Kater lieber in Japan

Angeblich werden Kater in Japan nicht kastriert und daher pissen sie gerne zur Markierung in der Gegend herum, vor allem gegen Strommasten etc., was dann irgendwann stinkt. Das ist auch der Grund für die wassergefüllten Plastikflaschen, die in meiner Gegend (streunende Katzen gibt's hier reichlich) immer wieder mal an den Masten festgebunden sind oder auch auf Mauern stehen. Katzen mögen, so heißt es, die glänzenden Objekte nicht und bleiben fern...

    Kommt das nur mir so vor oder sind Streuner/Freiläufer in Japan irgendwie wirklich sehr oft in einer sichtlich schlechten Verfassung? Ich seh dauernd Vierbeiner die aussehen als hätt man sie ordentlich durch die Mangel gedreht.
    Und so viele gestutzte Schwänze :/
